I slept in my sleeping bag last night….
A week away living out of a tent is an experience I recommend to all. I spent a couple days doing some 8 mile hikes through Kings Canyon National Park. Go there soon. These images are from the Pear Lake loop off of the Wolverton trailhead. We did the short loop to Heather Lake, a mere 8 miles 9500 feet high. No big deal. The shot at Heather lake was taken minutes before a lightning storm came in and pelted us with hail and freezing rain. Does anyone know what to do when a lightning storm comes close? Well DO NOT stand near a lake. Oops!
Returning from a week camping in the Sequoia forest, Kings Canyon. A week unplugged. I smell like smoke, am still wearing a knife, and will miss the nightly ritual of the fire and conversation.
